A message from Hand in Paw founder Piper
Happy Fall to all. Thank you to everyone who supports my charity and all our hard working life saving doctors, fosters, adopters and donors. This charity would not be the same without you.

HIP Adoption Spotlight : Minnie Driver with her rescue Bob
Hand in Paw is so thankful for the support of all our fosters and adopters. One of our adopters is the amazing Minnie Driver who in 2019 got her rescue fur baby Bob. Bob is such a lucky boy to have her.
Hand in Paw Rescue
Welcome, animal lovers! If you are looking for your new best friend, you have come to the right place! Hand in Paw places beautiful dogs (and cats) in need with their perfect forever family! We realize that shelters can be a very depressing place. Hand in Paw makes adoption a happy experience, as our dogs come to you spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped, groomed, and socialized. Our dogs are placed in loving foster homes upon leaving the shelter, so they learn basic manners, socialization, trust, and potty training.
Hand in Paw is a registered 501c3 dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of abandoned, homeless, and abused dogs. We seek to educate the public about the crisis of overpopulation, irresponsible breeding, puppy mills, neglect and abuse, as well as the importance of spay and neuter.
We at Hand in Paw have a firm belief that the special bond between dogs and humans is something that everyone should experience, and that there are so many benefits that result from the adoption of an animal in need.
Ready to Adopt?
Hand in Paw does its utmost to find the perfect family for each dog, and vice versa. An application is required for all interested parties, to ensure the safety and lifelong happiness of each dog. Our adoption fees vary for each dog (Puppy $450, Adult $400, Senior $250), and this includes spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, grooming, de-wormer, flea/tick preventative, and anything necessary to ensure the best health of each dog. Adoption is a big decision and responsibility; if you are not ready to dedicate time and love to a dog, we ask you to wait until you are ready. Please click below to go to our adoption form or if already cleared click to pay the adoption fee.
